It's 24" big and has a FULL-HD PANEL!!11 O M G!
I'm in love. Playing Geometry Wars² in FullHD is like... whoah, seizure.

I was reluctant to buy Geometry Wars 1, because there was nothing the full version could give me that the demo didn't have. That, and I have it for Wii. But GW2 is awesome. Six Game Modes! And Waves is pretty hard.
I'm still desperately trying to get the WaxOff, Rebound and... what was it? The one where you have to activate 30 zones in King without shooting. That's hard as well (I think it's called treaty). And I'd like to reach the end of sequence, but I always lose around 3-4 zones prior to the end. Sigh.

At least my desk looks really kickass now. Only now have I noticed how sucky my old TFT was. Oh god.

Persona 3 - 03 (and other crap)

I was finally able to play some more. I stopped around June 30th. Now I'm on August 9th. Yay, Koromaru. I should get Ken soon, too. Floors 90-115 were really fun in Tartarus, awesome enemies (except for that one Shadow who doesn't have any weaknesses and damn high defense. I think Mudo might be worth a shot there so it doesn't take as long).
Anyone else always starts thinking about "If my friends were SLinks, which Arcana would they be?" while playing P3? Because I sure did and I can't decide.
Talking about SLinks. Is it better to just max them one by one or keep them all up? I still have all the girl's SLinks around Level 4 because I don't want to decide yet and I'm scared I might forget one and that SLink will break on me :P... I just maxed Charm and Courage. I think I'm just some points away from maxing Academics. Yay.

On a different notice. Why did I suddenly get the urge to play a MMORPG? I don't have the time to do it, I won't do it and I don't really want to. I just had the urge to do it. I hate my brain sometimes. I mean, the only MMOs worth playing are WoW and FF11. Everything else sucks. I played RO to death, Guild Wars and Phantasy Star(s) are far too instanced... WoW's community sucks. FF11 feels like work.
And I don't wanna pay monthly fees. Ahhh I love how I can defeat that urge by listing the bad points.

Yes, I'm Steve Job's bitch. Damn that guy.

I got my iPhone 3G today and it's pretty cool. I'm not like "omg, best thing evaaaaaar", but it's really nifty and a great toy to play with. I just hate my new number, but I can't change anything about that. I'd better get started memorizing it.

And well, since I'm a gamer at heart. The first thing I did was to try out the games~

As you can see on the Screenshot above I've installed Trism, Super Monkey Ball and CritterCrunch. All three of them are pretty cool. Let's talk about them in detail, shall we :D

1) Trism

It's some kind of Hexic/Bejeweled style game. But with a twist (hehe, wordplay). You can rotate the iPhone and determine where the pieces fall after you destroyed the ones below. They can either fall down-right, down-left, left, right, up-right or up-left. It all depends on how you tilt the phone. It's really fun and makes the game far more tactical than Bejeweled. Maybe even more tactical than Hexic. And Hexic is fucking awesome.

Damn you Puzzle games. I hate you. You make me turn stones around for HOURS. And I bet this game will make me do it as well. As long as I don't show it to my mother I should be fine.

2) Super Monkey Ball

I think everyone knows Super Monkey Ball. You control a monkey in a Ball and make it roll through stages without falling down. There isn't really much more to say about that. It's fun. Just really hard to control. You have to tilt the iPhone around to move the ball (or am I moving the stage? I'm not quite sure :P) and it's kinda wonky.

The graphics are awesome though. And once I got used to the controls it was fun.

3) CritterCrunch

It's the best one of the three games. Seriously. It's so simple but addictive and so easy to pick up.

You're some kind of... creature. And you have to eat little critters and spit them out again, so other critters can eat the smaller ones... it's really hard to explain.

So, let's talk about some things. I couldn't decide, so you'll just get the load of it :D

I was pretty busy with my Operations Research Exam. And let me tell you: It sucked.

I studied for it with a friend (more or less, still, I studied a lot). If you'd asked me anything out of the script I could've at least tell you something about it, but that didn't matter. We only had 100 minutes for 4 problems and some theory. Huge problems. Back in 2004 (the only exam we could find) they had 90 minutes and 2 problems plus some theory. What the hell?

Everyone's really pissed right now and we're awaiting the results... I studied real hard for it so I want a good grade. But I guess that one's down the drain. Meh.

On to the brighter side.
My seminary was pretty awesome. Sure, my paper sucks because there was no one to read through it (except for me) so I found some typos after I handed it in - it drives me crazy whenever I see them - but the speech seems to have been good. At least I got congratulated three times for it. I think that's a good sign.
I think I'll get the grade for it tomorrow. I hope it's a 1 (grades range from 1 to 5 with levels between them - 1,0 1,3 1,7 2.0 etc - everything over 4,0 is failed). I really need a good grade there. Because of that OR exam :/

I still had the time to play some games though; I always have :D

Persona 3: FES

I didn't play it that much... surprisingly. I'm still in May. The midterm results got posted and I was in the Top 10 (I got 3 in Academics exactly one day after the exams... argh). Now I can finally use Akihiko which will hopefully make it easier to reach the next barrier before the Fuuka debacle. Do I even have to reach the barrier before the next full moon?

I started playing it again yesterday. I got kinda discouraged when I died after 2 hours of Tartarus grinding. One floor beneath the floor boss (the exit). Ouch.
But the game's really fun, I like the characters. I can't wait to get the others. I want Aigis and Koromaru.

The World Ends With You

I got hooked on that one, too. The battle system is real fun. It's pretty challenging to play on two screens simultaneously (but you can play Neku more or less blind and focus on the cards of your partner).

Anyone who has a DS should try this one. It's awesome. I love the whole style of the game. The plot is a bit strange at times but I still like it. I love games that hint at society issues and human relations ("It's not hard to understand people, Neku. It's impossible.)

Currently I'm on Week 2 Day 4.
I actually didn't like to use Joshua at first. He gets hit a lot more than Shiki because Shiki could jump and she had some kind of "Invincible Mode" when she attacked. Joshua doesn't. Having used him a bit he's not that bad though. His fusion is damn powerful and easier to pull off. I still don't like him as a character since I'm sure he's the big bad guy.

Disgaea: Afternoon Of Darkness

I recently got a PSP. For free. And I loved Disgaea for the PS2 so I had to get this game. I'm hooked on it again. Damn you NIS. There's just so much to do in this game and I can't wait to try out Etna Mode once I'm through the story again.
I also never got to any levels >= 1000, so maybe this time? :D

Trauma Center: New Blood

It's okay. I still don't like the Wii controls all that much though. It just feels... better on the DS :) I can't wait for Trauma Center 2!

Persona - trinity soul -

You know, I'm in some kind of love-hate-relationship with this one. Some scenes are awesome, char design and animation are slick. But most of the time it's just plain boring. Akihiko is in it now, though. That makes it better.

I just hoped they'd make more connections to P3. They're at Episode 23 now, so only three to go. They'd better be awesome. I'd love some of the other chars show up... like Mitsuru.
I mean... I already smile whenever Burn My Dread plays in the background ;)

Soul Eater

I don't know... it's fun to watch and the characters are likable. It's just that the story is so generic. I like Maka.

I bought GTA IV... I didn't want to at first but I did. And it's good. I didn't think it would be. GTA III sucked, Vice City was okay and San Andreas was shit, but GTA IV is really good.

This morning I woke up, brushed my teeth, had breakfast and then I thought "let's play GTAIV for ~three hours. Well ...let's just say that didn't work out.

I stopped playing eight hours later.

I'll go to bed now and dream of dead prostitutes.

I've been busy. With what? Well, what do you think? It totally was~~n't~~ Operations Research. Hint: It's awesome.

If your first thought was Muffin, props to you, I love muffins, but even I can't obsess over Muffins. It still was tasty. Mhhh.
Obviously it wasn't Operations Research. I mean okay, I did study a bit of OR, but that's not the solution here.

It's also not Persona 3: FES. But that's awesome, too. I didn't even play until the first (well, second) full-moon yet :/

Yes, it's Dexter. Not the Book, but the show (I just got the book today). I watched the whole first season on Monday and Tuesday and it was so awesome that I had to buy the first book of the series.
Dexter's such a great character. He's funny, antisocial and he.. well... kills people. I like him. The show really wasn't filled with suspense or anything, I only liked it because it shed some light on the psyche of Dexter, a serial killer with "code", that he only kills people who deserved it.
If you haven't watched it, do it.

Well, apart from that I'm still busy with my seminary, which I will continue today. Tomorrow is my day off, so I'm hoping I can work on it the whole day, so I'm done this weekend. Doing the Powerpoint (which I'll make in Keynote I guess, I want to try it out :D) should be an easy task compared to the 20 pages I'm writing right now.
Actually it's not the writing which gives me problems... it's cutting stuff. You know, I like computer science and in my opinion everything in that book was really important and interesting and "good-to-know". But I have to cut the content to 20 pages. It just feels... bad to do that. Because I have the feeling no one will be interested in it after my speech and look up how memory allocation really works in detail.

They don't need to know and it's better if I don't force it on them so they listen, but it still feels awkward every time I have to teach someone something I like.

Sigh.

... I'll get to work now, I just played 20 minutes of IIDX and went to bed for about an hour. Linux calls.

Okay, I just woke up, got some caffeine and dressed myself, I have to go to uni in ~20 minutes, but there's something I have to write first.

What the hell was that dream?

At first I'm at my grandmother's place, where she tells me something about a package ("You didn't receive it yet?"), and I'm really expecting a package from my grandmother, so that's probably why it was in that dream. I checked eBay and I sold something for 50Eur and Janina sold some Hikaru no Go GBA Game for 20Eur. So I decided to go home and package the thing I sold (I never found out what it was :( ).
So I got home - like instantly, even though my grandmother lives 130km away - and there was that package from my grandmother, and there was a bug in it. He said: "I'm a cocoa bug". And I just was standing there, staring at the bug running around. And I could klick on him. KLICK ON HIM. LIKE WITH A MOUSE.

Then I woke up.

Cocoa-Bug? What the hell is a Cocoa-Bug? Do they make Cocoa? Do they taste like Cocoa? Can you dissolve them in milk?
I totally want to draw one now...

I feel strange now... I had to write that.

You may have noticed - or not, that's alright as well - that I was kinda gone for the last seven days or something.

That's because I had to work on a project. I had to deliver the rough draft on April 14th, now I have to do the rest until like ~May 5 or something like that, somewhere around there, he didn't give me a new deadline, but I want to be done until then. Which means I have to continue today... meh.

University also started and I'm kind of busy.

Here's a quick table I made with iCal.. I'll make a new one for myself once I know everything (the Room of the Economy-Tutorium on Tuesday for example). There's also that Software Engineering...thing. That's two hours and we don't know when... I wonder where they'll put it, it's already cramped as it is.

I'm too lazy to resize it, sorry

This semester will be hard... :(... There's going to be like ten exams for me.

Yeah, university has those vibes: "You have to have contact to people and talk to them like aaaaall of the time.

And that's alright, but I already have someone to talk about university. And everyone just talks about this lecture here, that lecture there, this exam and that practical. And I don't give a [censored] about that.
I already have someone to discuss university related stuff that happens when it happens. After that it's over and I'm alright. I don't want to talk with everyone how I like this lecture or how I hate that professor.

It'd be alright if I could talk with people about something else, but if it's only uni-related... no thanks.

So I finally started playing MOTHER 3, I blame smashdressing and the Claus there. I was surprised. Apart from Hinawa's Letter there were no Kanji in the game yet, and even the Kanji there were easy to get (Kodomo etc), so I can read it.
The thing that kept me from playing it was, that I really don't like to play a game with a script, I did that for Final Fantasy 10 back when it was new (it wasn't worth it) and it was horrible :D... But that had voice acting, this hasn't.
My Japanese skills are only from watching anime. I can watch raws and all that and I can understand what's going on. I just suck at Kanji.

I'm not proud of it though. Damn Weeaboos.

But it's some kind of skill I have (even though I'm not proud of it) and if I can use it to play MOTHER3 without having to look up EVERYTHING, that's alright with me. I'm still reading the script on the part I've played afterwards.

So, the game. I really like it. I finished Chapter 1 and it was really touching. I don't want to spoil anything (everyone's spoiled because of Brawl anyway, I know I'm heavily spoiled) but it's really worth it for now.
There's an awesome menu patch over at Tomato's MOTHER 3 Translation Blog which everyone should read. I'm enjoying the blog because I'm studying computer science, so I get real kicks out of the entries talking about the hacking process ;)

Also, while I'm not that far yet, I love the Ultimate Chimera. It's so cute and awesome and ultimate. I even hacked myself forward to Chapter 8, just to capture the awesome toilet scene :D...
Even some Ultimate Chimera seems to have to go to the washroom once in a while <3

What the hell. I love it D:...

Well, I don't really have much to say, except for some small things.
First of all, I bought a new PS2, it should arrive sometime this week. Whoooo. I can finally play Silent Hill Origins and finish those games I talked about. 200€ gone, but they're worth it... I hope so at least.
I'm also fanboying Fire Emblem again. I blame fedressingroom, because I randomly started playing FE10!Rolf and FE9!Sothe there. Gawwwwd.
I'm currently playing FE9 again, so I have something to transfer over to FE10. Memory Card issues. I'm at chapter 23, so I'll be done sometime this week.

Problem: I need to study, too. The tutor-guy wants a rough draft done on April 14th. I was kinda sick today, so I didn't do anything. I'll start tomorrow... Argh.

A little rant before I'm gone

It's Easter. Happy Easter. So I have to go visit my grandparents. Which means I'll be gone until Wednesday. There's no Internet back there anymore, at least no Internet connection I can use (don't have any "friends" left there) so yes, I'll be pretty much gone for some days.

You know, I'm glad I phoned my mother before I went out to the library, I have a bunch of books to bring back and I really need this book. Okay, they don't have that one, that's too new, but I'm thinking that the 2nd Edition will suffice for the basics. At least I hope so, because there's no way I'm gonna pay 80€ for that book. The topic may be interesting and I do need it, but not 80€, no.
But it's a holiday today (screw holidays, I don't have lectures anyway) so I couldn't go and had to pirate download the book and convert it to pdf. That pdf now has a size of 187MB and a pagecount of 22935. The formulas and code snippets (fuck you, deadlocks) are a bit stretched, but I really wonder how that pagecount came to be. Well, I'll find out later. This will do until I can get it from the library on Thursday.

I'm kinda bored

So I'm making an entry without any real content. Isn't that just great? Randomness yay.

Yesterday (or rather today) I had some great Brawl matches with saphrawn . Later some people from her Friend Roster joined, it was really fun and I kinda forgot the time. We started at midnight and when I looked at the clock again it was already like 4-5am. Yes, it was that cool :D... I'm thinking of taking Lucas as my main since I kinda start to suck with Ike... sadly. Oh Ike, I need to use you more so you don't stand in Lucas' shadow.
I also started to hate 75m when your opponent is Zelda. That's just lame lol. My favourite stage still is Final Destination (and Temple and Corneria from Melee). Gotta love simplicity.

I also installed MSN on my sister's laptop yesterday and I added her. I'm already thinking about blocking her. I mean okay, she's ten years old, but I didn't expect her to use EVERY DAMN SMILEY she finds on the interwebs. I'm only waiting for QQQQQ and %D. God, I hate those. Not that I expected to really talk with her, but I didn't think I'd wanna block her that fast.. :D

I didn't get to play Persona 3 at all, because my PS2 broke around June/July last year. That's why I have a lot of unfinished PS2 games, too.

I.e.: Digital Devil Saga (both...), Tales of the Abyss (it died when I was 1h away from the last boss), Final Fantasy 12 (I finished it, but there's some stuff I'd like to do), Dragon Quest VIII (see FF12), Okami, Odin Sphere, Disgaea 2, Atelier Iris 2 (and well, I never got to play 3) and some more I guess. Wild Arms for example.
Now I watched some P3 vids and I'd really love to try the game, but I'd need a new PS2 first and meh... money.

But it really looks cool, the Art direction is great, the music sounds cool and the system sounds interesting. I can't say much about the story and the characters, but they don't sound bad either. The manga is strange, but manga from video games are never really good. The Star Ocean 3 one wasn't really good either.

Me want :(

I'm now finally officially an university student again.

Of course that's good news, because I can finally use the subway again (once I fill out this and walk to the Mainstation and hope that they'll do it like I want, or I'll have to go there again tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that until it works :D) I can be pretty persistent you know!

But it's also bad news, because I will have to write some letters.

Volksbank and Sparkasse so I don't have to pay for my bank account. The Volksbank also seems to have "misplaced" my letter in which I asked them to change my adress to Munich (morons), so I have to do that again as well.
The funny thing is: I forgot the name of the person I need to mail it to, so I have to call them first.
Bafög. They'll be "happy" to see that I'm still studying.
My father. I need to call him (urgh, that's the hardest part actually. Because I totally forgot his number. I think I still have his mobile number saved in mine. Asshole.)
MVV. See subway.
I think my mother needs one, too but that's np.
AOK. Health Insurance. Also forgot the name of my "Sachbearbeiterin" (clerk? contact? clerical assistance? No Idea) but I'll get a letter where they request it again, so whatever. I can wait for that.
Speaking of Letters I still have to get, I still didn't pay this year's ADAC. I'm awaiting the reminder :D...

That should be it, I bet I forgot someone or something.

And I'm watching Futurama and I'm talking to someone about his Abitur (he will have his oral exam in Biology, mine was in History. Holocaust. Fun.) and that I'll be "officially old" next year. Hey, it least I look young. I'm 21 and I look like 16 or something like that. This will be awesome when I am 30 and look like 24. Something to look forward to I guess.

So, I played Brawl. I already tried the Japanese version, but I only started playing it excessivly with the US release. I beat SSE yesterday and it was kinda great. A bit longwinded and repetetive but whatever. Voice acting would've been awesome. Especially for people like Snake. But at least we have Codec-Convos.
I like to use Ike (obviously) and well, the ones I liked in SSB and SSBM are still awesome. Like Link/Toon Link and Pikachu. Some of the new Entries are kinda strange (I do like Olimar, but he isn't a great character. But he's fun so I'll use him sometimes). I never was a fan of Ness, but I like Lucas. PK Freeze is awesome.

Enough Brawl. It's like everywhere on the Internet atm.

I should sleep.

I finally finished Apollo Justice. It was a good game, it was just a little bit too easy and Apollo didn't have enough... I don't know how to put it. He didn't have an impact. He was likable and I noticed I like his design better than that of Phoenix, but he just lacks impact.

The last case was really interesting with the Juror System and the MASON System. The case itself was great as well, but more of that behind the cut, I don't want to spoil anyone.

I already expected to be able to play Phoenix again, so it happened. Even longer than I expected, because the MASON System essentially was investigating as Phoenix. I even got to break a few Psyche Locks.

But some of the revelations were a bit strange though. Apollo being Lucy's brother (and they both don't know yet) with Lamiroir being their mother, who lost her memory (and her eyesight) in an accident during rehearsals. Which made me wonder how she got out of the country and all that. That was a bit TOO.. cheesy? I dunno.

A lot got resolved and it seems Phoenix will take the bar exam again (either that or he'll take piano lessons), I hope for the former. There's still a lot of stuff they have to explain. Like what became of Maya. And Pearl. And Edgeworth, Iris, Gumshoe, Franziska, Godot etc etc.

I want GS5.

Eins, Zwei, Guten Morgen. I just finished Sam and Max 203 and God, I had some good laughs.
I enjoyed all the... germanness. Jürgen was just an awesome character because he was like all emo and evil and stupid and German. All at the same time. Apart from that it was the same old Sam and Max comedy. Just a tad more German. And undead.

What I learned today (minor gag-spoilers, though nothing storyrelated. And no big ones):

Yeah. We Europeans also make the most refined undead, I already figured that one out.
But still, I think the best gag of Season 2 was in Episode 1. The one with Jimmy-Two-Teeth's sick son. This one. God f*** us. Every one.

And I continued to play GS4. Case 2 was pretty good, less Hobo-Phoenix. Case 3 didn't have any Hobo-Phoenix yet, which makes me happy. I just don't like him too much :/... But I like his "daughter". And her magic tricks.
Klavier is awesome, too. I like his theme. And he plays air guitar, that rocks.

But... LOVE LOVE GUILTY? Come on.
